Newborn Care & Night Maternity Nurse

Welcoming a new baby is a time of extraordinary joy — and also profound change. Our Newborn Care service provides gentle, expert support during those precious, demanding early weeks and months. Whether you are expecting your first child or expanding your family, we help you navigate life with a newborn with confidence, rest, and peace of mind.

At Willow & Co, we match you with caring, experienced professionals who understand newborn needs — so you can cherish these early moments while receiving the practical help and guidance that matters most.

The duties for the maternity nurse are the same as for the night nanny, but will also include:

  • Advice on how to establish a sustainable sleep routine for the baby

  • Advice and support on breastfeeding and related issues

  • Advice on how to cope with post-natal depression

  • Advice on other related topics such as colic and reflux

A night maternity nurse will typically charge £180 to  £250 per night gross depending on experience for a 10 hour night, if you require a 12-hour night this can be accommodated for an extra charge.

What We Offer

Gentle & attentive infant care — feeding support, nappy changes, bathing, soothing, and settling. Helping your baby feel safe, calm, and loved from day one.

Feeding support & guidance — assisting with breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or combination care; bringing baby to you for feeds and settling them comfortably afterwards.

Rest & recovery for parents — overnight or daytime support so you can sleep, heal, and recharge. We handle the routine tasks so you can focus on bonding.

Building gentle routines — helping establish calm, predictable patterns for feeding, sleep, and daily life — tailored to your baby’s unique rhythm.

Practical education & reassurance — learning together as we go. We share knowledge, answer questions, and help you grow in confidence as parents.

Fully vetted professionals — every candidate is personally interviewed, reference-checked, DBS-verified, and trained in infant first aid and safeguarding.

Our Approach

Newborn care is about supporting your family, not replacing you. We select professionals who are not only experienced but kind, patient, and respectful of your preferences. They step in to help, step back to let you bond, and remain a steady, reassuring presence through this beautiful transition. Available for daytime, overnight, or live-in support — from a few nights to several months, exactly as you need.

A night nanny is not usually responsible for any cleaning or laundry.

A night nanny can be booked for just one night or six nights (they will then have a 24 hour break and of course can be re-booked after that).

Typically a night nanny will charge £180 to £250 per night gross depending on the experience for a 10 hour night. If you require a 12-hour night this can be accommodated for an extra charge.
